SPOT Spay/Neuter

Stop Pet Overpopulation Today (SPOT) is our low cost spay/neuter program. The community SPOT program was developed by KHS to address the challenges of pet overpopulation.

 

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO HAVE YOUR ANIMAL

SPAY/NEUTERED THROUGH THE SPOT PROGRAM:

 

Stop by KHS during business hours.

Fill out the SPOT application.

Purchase your SPOT voucher.

Schedule your appointment.

*animals do not need to be present at time of scheduling.

 

*If an animal is on any medication and/or has/had a heart condition; tracheal, kidney or liver problems; or seizure disorder, KHS will not perform spay/neuter surgeries on these animals.

 

All cats and dogs must be 16 weeks or older to be spay/neutered at KHS.

  • SPOT surgery is performed on Tuesday and Thursday. Drop off at KHS is between 8 - 8:30 am.
  • Cats need to come in a clean pet carrier that is safe and secure. NO cardboard carriers or boxes will be accepted. If you bring your cat in a cardboard carrier or box, surgery will not be performed and you will have to reschedule your appointment.
  • Dogs weighing 25 lbs and under must come in their own crate/carrier.
  • Cats will be ready for pick up between 4:30 - 5:00 pm.
  • Dog owners will receive a phone call after 2:00 pm to let them know when their dog is ready for pick up.

SPOT Spay/Neuter Program and Vaccinations
KHS offers to the public low-cost spay/neuter for dogs and cats and spay/neuter for feral cats. We also offer a low-cost walk-in vaccination clinic.
