Cnidy Edington - KHS Board President
Vice President/Commercial Lender - Mountain West Bank
“We adopted our first dog from KHS in 1980, not too long after the shelter had opened. Duncan is the last dog we adopted from KHS just two years ago. He had a rough start to life but stole our hearts the moment we met. We could not imagine our home without him. Won't you join us and be a part of the KHS capital campaign so that more animals can find forever homes?”
Angie Hanson - KHS Board Vice President
Veterinary Assistant - Lakewood Animal Hospital
Angie found Paris being cared for at KHS almost eight years ago. Paris had severe mange and was covered in scabs, but she still stole Angie’s heart. After two years of daily bathing, dressing her in pajamas to protect her skin, keeping her out of the sun, and furnishing medication, Paris is a happy girl taking daily walks on Tubbs Hill and playing frisbee. All it took was someone to love her.
Sally Ellingsen - KHS Board Treasurer
Vice President - Umpqua Bank
Sally has long been advocating for animals and has served on the Kootenai Humane Society board for over 5 years. She also fosters kittens for the shelter and volunteers at various outreach events throughout the year. Sally is driven by the belief that we can save the lives of more animals in our community through education, advocacy, and comprehensive spay/neuter initiatives.
Jadyn Loedding - KHS Board Secretary
Financial Advisor - JCL Capital Management
Jadyn has always loved animals. She feels they give us our humanity. "People who love animals are nice people," she says. "The animals cannot speak for themselves. We must do it for them, care for them, and give them a loving home."
Denise Morris - KHS Board Member
- First Interstate Bank
Animal lover? You bet! Being a long time supporter of Kootenai Humane Society, I am thrilled to be a part of this great nonprofit. I believe all animals deserve to have a good life filled with love and happiness. Each encounter we make in our community to provide humane care, rehabilitation, adoption, and education will change the animal's world. Together, I know we can make a difference.
Andy Smith - KHS Board Member

As a long-time board members, Andy has supported KHS in numerous ways. Helping to create a shelter that reflects the values of animal lovers opened the door for education and greater adoption, including pets with disabilities and those in need of a loving hospice home. Andy is proud to be part of the many dedicated individuals that have been a driving force to make KHS one of the safest places for our community's homeless animals.
